TREASURY AND WHITE HOUSE COULD KILL HOMEBUYER TAX CREDIT THIS WEEK

As you may know, both the Treasury Department and the White House economic team are currently reviewing the homebuyer tax credit, to decide whether or not to recommend that it be extended past its current expiration date of November 30, and expanded beyond first-time buyers.

Thus far, our coalition has been very responsive, both in weighing in with Congress to gain this credit in the first place, and more recently to provide some terrific success stories, which we’vebeen posting here on the site.

It is imperative that you use this link now to weigh in with both the White House and the Treasury Department to let them know that the homebuyer tax credit is working and to urge them to extend and expand it. There is a letter for you to use, but you should also feel free to personalize it and add your own insights and successes as you’ve done in your emails to us.  As always, please encourage your neighbors, co-workers, customers and suppliers to do the same.
