Hello all,

I hope you are enjoying this hot summer, unfortunately it is going to get Really Hot!  This Monday July 12th, at 7 PM at the City Council Chambers the Code and Review Board will be submitting their Recommendation to have the New Building Codes Accepted, and to implement Costly Fire Sprinklers to each new home, multi-family, and eventually remodel in the City!  Costs average over $10,000 a home.  I have seen quotes over $20,000!  Imagine how that will effect everyone’s businesses, builders or not!

Please respond to our email and please Use Voter Voice Before Monday 5PM by registering and sending an email to our public officials urging them to consider simply implementing a Consumer Friendly Mandatory Option, where we share pricing with the consumer and they sign off on whether or not they want it in their home.

Fire Sprinklers are a Hot Topic In St. Charles

The HBAGFV stands with our fellow associations state and nation wide, in rejecting Mandated Fire Sprinklers.  The NFPA and Sprinkler advocates use misleading square footages and costs to help promote their cause to local municipalities.

New Home Fire Sprinkler Informational Brochure available

The Home Builders Association of Illinois, NAHB, and The Home Builders Association of Greater Fox Valley is against the mandating of Fire-Sprinkler Systems in new homes.

It is in the 2009 International Residential Code, and may be coming to your community.

We believe it is a property owner choice, and should not be forced upon any new home buyer, or person who wants to completely remodel their home.

LEAD PAINT CLASSES! NIHB is Hosting a vital class if you Remodel
